Art Auction
The Brain Injury Association of Nebraska (BIA-NE) is dedicated to the 36,000 Nebraskans living with the life-altering effects of brain injuries. We strive to enhance the quality of life for those individuals and their families through support, education and advocacy.
Additionally, we are helping to lead the charge to prevent future brain injuries and work with returning veterans and servicemembers with traumatic brain injuries. This auction will help fund these vital programs.

Chimney Rock was the most famous landmark on the Oregon, California, and Mormon Trails. In over 300 journal accounts of settlers moving west along the Platte River Road, this prominent geological rock formation in Nebraska was by far the most mentioned landmark along the trail.

The “dance” of the Sandhill Crane is well known. Pairs engage in elaborate bowing displays with outstretched wings and leap high into the air. Often, a corncob or stick is picked up and thrown upward repeatedly. Origami artist, Linda Stephen is an origami collage artist who specializes in public art projects—from wall art for public buildings, hotels and offices to animated commercials. “Dancing Cranes” is a study in color—nine dancing cranes of folded paper.

In 1997 Luke was critically injured in a car wreck on his way to football practice. The result was a severe and diffuse Traumatic Brain Injury. Following two months in a coma and four months in Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Luke began his journey of recovery, finding new purpose and passion in his digital designs.
